PS4 Version of Darksiders 2 Spotted Online

A listing for Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition on PS4 has been spotted on Amazon (good find AGB).

The Amazon page for the yet unannounced game can still be viewed at the time of writing. It’s unclear whether this has been some form of slip up from Amazon, or a publicity stunt to build hype for the game.

Nordic Games has yet to officially announce anything about a PS4 version of Darksiders 2.

Other PS4 versions of Nordic properties have also been spotted recently. These include Legend of Kay HD, Arcania - The Complete Tale, MX vs ATV: Supercross Encore Edition and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (the last of which also has a listing for Xbox One). Each of these titles has a placeholder release date (the 31st of December) which will be changed when each game is officially announced.

Nordic Games acquired the rights to Darksiders after the collapse of THQ (the original publisher). The company hasn’t yet announced any plans for the series, although it did release a Darksiders collection last year, which included both games and and the sequel’s season pass content.

In Wesley’s review of Darksiders 2 he scored it a 9/10, stating that “Darksiders II demonstrates brilliance at every turn – brilliance that is sure to entertain and excite any who would don the mask of Death.”
