Project X-Zone 2 Delayed to 2016

Cross-company strategy RPG Project X Zone 2 has been delayed to 2016 for Europe and North America, Bandai Namco has announced.

First announced back in April, Project X Zone 2 features characters from Bandai Namco, Capcom and Sega games battling each other in 2D arenas. Previously, the game was due for release in the West sometime this Autumn, but the latest press release lists an “early 2016” release window.

Among the playable roster are a host of familiar and beloved characters, including Devil May Cry‘s Dante, Hiryu from Strider and Tekken villain Kazuya. The full lineup of characters has yet to be announced, but the final game will feature “dozens” of characters, according to the publisher.

News of the delay came during the 2015 Japan Expo, which is currently being held in Paris.

As well as the new release date, a new trailer for Project X Zone 2 was also shown, which you can watch below.
