Nintendo has announced that three more characters will be joining Hyrule Warriors. Sheik, Darunia, and Princess Ruto, all from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, will be added to the roster.
Sheik is Princess Zelda’s alter-ego, and she disguises herself in Ocarina of Time to help Link on his adventure. Sheik has been a playable character before. She was playable in both Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
In addition to Sheik, Darunia, who is the leader of the Goron race, is also playable. Darunia is one of the seven sages in Ocarina of Time, and eventually becomes the Fire Sage when Link cleanses the Fire Temple.
Lastly, you will be able to play as Ruto, Princess of the Zora race. She is also the role of one of the seven sages as the Water Sage.
Nintendo didn’t release a trailer, nor did they release any information on the move sets for the characters, but we’re hoping to hear more very soon. Hyrule Warriors will be released on August 14 in Japan, September 19 in Europe, and September 26 in North America, exclusively for the Wii U.
