Atari’s online multiplayer battle arena game Minimum is now available as Early Access on Steam.
For $19.99, players can experience Minimum, a blocky and chaotic mish-mash of RPG and Shooter elements developed by Human Head Studios where players must level up their characters. In Minimum, your goal is to customize and bolster your team and support your Titans in destroying the enemy’s walls. Central to Minimum is a crafting system that depends upon collected resources to create stronger, more customizable weapons.
Highly meritocratic, Minimum‘s combat system rewards skilled players - providing power-ups and boosts in return for kill-streaks.
Supporting automatic matchmaking, Minimum is intent on diving headfirst into full Steam integration, allowing players to find matches without hunting as well as have access to Steam Wallet and Inventory. Doing so allows players to trade items such as trade crafting items and blueprints with fellow Steam members.
Atari’s Fred Chesnais is excited about the project, saying that “Minimum ushers in the next era of Atari gaming, with its distinctive mix of combat and crafting.” This Early Access could give some idea on this supposed distinctiveness.
