Warner Bros. Interactive and Techland have revealed a new trailer for their upcoming survival horror title Dying Light, which reveals that the game will include a four player co-op mode.
The Gamescom trailer showcases the open-world urban setting of the game, which players will be able to freely traverse using their character’s parkour skills. During the day, players will have to scavenge for supplies needed to craft weapons in order to defend themselves against the growing population of infected. While at night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected become more aggressive and dangerous. With even more dangerous predators coming out after sundown, ones who are more frightening than the normal ones. Players will need to keep their wits about them if they want to survive the night.
The most notable announcement from the trailer that Dying Light will include a four player co-op mode, which seems to be similar to Evolve’s gameplay mechanics. People who played the game today at Gamescom said that four players will need to work together to complete objectives before another player comes into the game. This new player will be playing as an extremely powerful zombie named the ‘Night Hunter’. The Night Hunter works to take down the four other players as they try to destroy three sets of hives. The monster can be upgraded to become more powerful, making the mode all the more difficult.
Dying Light is set for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in February 2015.
