Far Cry developer Ubisoft Montreal have pledged to match any Red Cross donations of up to $100k to aid those suffering after the earthquake in Nepal.
The most recent addition to the Far Cry franchise was heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, so it’s clear to see why Ubisoft Montreal have shown such an interest.
“Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross, who are mobilising their traveling hospital team to Kathmandu to offer support and medical assistance,” the developer stated on its Red Cross page.
“The Far Cry team will match donations up to the first $100,000. Thanks for your generosity and please, spread the word.”
According to CNN, the death toll has risen to over 5500, and there are countless more who are in need of many types of aid.
Donations are already up to $19095.00, but there’s still a lot more to go. If you have anything to spare then it’s a very worthy cause to donate to. Here’s the link to their Red Cross page again.
