EA Access sates your need for speed

EA Access

Last month, EA introduced EA Access - “a new program that makes it easier for Xbox One gamers to get their hands on great EA games” (according to EA’s website).

Since its successful launch with many gamers downloading the trial version of Madden NFL 25, EA has announced it’s bringing Need for Speed: Rivals to EA Access “in the coming weeks.” We don’t know exactly what kind of time frame we’re looking at, but it’s good news for XBO owners who haven’t yet picked the game up. It’s rather good, as our review by Anthony Stevens pointed out.

The company also announced that EA Access would be available in 19 additional countries later this month in conjunction with the Xbox One launch, including: Brazil, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Portugal, Turkey, South Africa, UAE, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Greece. We’ve noticed a lot of soccer heavy countries here, so FIFA 14 is sure to get some solid play time once Access is readily available in these countries.

Currently, the EA Access Vault contains Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Peggle 2, and Madden NFL 25. In addition to free games the service will also allow trials of games before they’re released, with players able to import their progress from the trial into the full game to give them a head start. The biggest upcoming game to benefit from this will be Dragon Age: Inquisition.
