Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma has announced that the upcoming Zelda title for the Wii U, which seems to have adopted the working title Zelda Wii U, will feature an expansive, open-world.
We got a glimpse of this world in the game’s latest trailer; we see Link on horseback, standing in a grassy field with a landscape that stretches far into the horizon. Suddenly, he is attacked by a giant spider-like enemy, and must flee towards a bridge. The monster crashes into the water, seemingly lacking control or finesse; there’s no sign of the Master Sword here - instead, Link makes use of an interesting new bow and arrow attack the beast.
The world looks beautiful, seeming to blend the styles of Skyward Sword and Wind Waker. Check it out in the video below.
