E3 2014: Super Smash Bros Adds Mii Fighters, Palutena

The upcoming Super Smash Bros games have gained some new fighters; but in a way, they’ve gained an infinite amount of new fighters, as it was announced that players can use their Miis in combat.

The Miis can choose between three different play styles: The Swordsman, The Brawler, and The Gunner. Each class can chose four special moves from twelve options, for a grand total of thirty-six special moves to choose from.

This means that the Miis aren’t just extra characters for extra characters sake, but will have a depth to them that will allow them to brawl with the best of them.

Also revealed was the inclusion of Palutena, the Godess of Light from Kid Icarus, in the roster, who showed off some impressive moves. There was also a brief teaser for a possible Dark Pit character, which is something we’ll be keeping an eye out for in the future.

The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. will be released October 3rd of this year, with the Wii U version to follow shortly afterwards. You can check out our extensive coverage of the new version of Super Smash Bros. to get updated on the latest stage and character info.
