E3 2014: Final Fantasy Type-0 and Final Fantasy Agito Coming To Europe

In 2011, Square Enix released Final Fantasy Type-0 on PSP in Japan. Despite demand from fans to bring the game elsewhere, Square Enix held off. When Final Fantasy Agito, also set in the war-torn dystopia of Orience, was released on iOS and Android in May, hope to see either of these games outside of Japan was all but lost - it seemed as though the publisher was moving forward and leaving the West in the dust.

However, in their press conference at E3 today, Square Enix announced that they will be bringing both games to Europe. While Agito will be staying put on smartphones, Type-0 is going to be remastered for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hajime Tabata, the director of Final Fantasy Type-0, said that “the new PlayStation 4 system and Xbox One platforms have really helped to re-envision this dynamic and turbulent world of Orience.”

No release date has been confirmed, but it is exciting that these games will get a chance to shine outside of Japan. Here’s 5 shots of Agito and one of Type-0 to go along with the announcement.
