EA is emphasizing a lot on their partnership with Bioware over the past few years, especially with the Mass Effect franchise. A short clip of Bioware employees talking about a couple of new projects hints at a Mass Effect spin-off with a totally new universe, new characters, and an entirely new set of planets and settings. A few prototype environments have been shown displaying some impressive visuals with the iconic Mass Effect optical lens flares.

Not only this, Bioware is hinting at another project that will be as equally expansive as Mass Effect, but in a completely different genre. A few scenes have been shown of the new project but nothing else has been suggested. It seems Bioware is putting a huge emphasis on open-world games with their upcoming titles.
