Atlus USA has released their 3DS strategy-RPG Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker in North America. European players will need to wait until later this year.

Released originally on the DS back in 2013, this expanded remake adds more content, skills and gameplay features. Atlus says that the new content amounts to “over 100 hours” of gameplay, as well as a fully voiced cast of characters, Record Breaker provides both fans and newcomers a definitive release well worth the purchase.

According the official marketing blurb, in Devil Survivor 2, your days are numbered and Earth is on the brink of destruction. With an invasion underway from extra-terrestial beings, you and a group of friends must harness the abilities of demons to stop the invaders and save the human race.

Gameplay is reliant on turn-based combat, where your character employs demons to fight off against enemies. As the story progresses, players are presented with moral choices which can alter the flow of the narrative.

This isn’t the first time Atlus has re-released one of their older games for newer consoles. The first Devil Survivor was also given an enhanced port with the release of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. The original PlayStation 2 version of Persona 4 received a nice HD remake on the Vita in the form of Persona 4 Golden.
