The newest Destiny expansion, The Taken King, was announced at Sony’s E3 conference with a new trailer.

As a self-proclaimed Desiny addict, this was some huge news for me. Firstly, it looks like we’ll be getting some new subclasses to fill out that third slot. The trailer shows a hunter summoning a void bow, a warlock blasting lightning from his hands (like a seasoned sith) and a titan summoning a flaming hammer.

It looks like this expansion will feature Crota’s daddy, Oryx, coming back to get revenge for us killing his son (with his own sword no less).

There’s going to be new terrifying baddies, new gear, a new multiplayer map and a new co-op strike, so lots of new delicious content to sink our teeth into.

The Taken King is set to release September 15th this year. In the meantime, take a gander at the E3 trailer below (I can’t wait to summon a void bow).
