Bandai Namco has announced that Dark Souls 2 sold 1.2 million copies in its first three weeks in North America and Europe.

The publisher revealed the news when they released their results for the last financial year, which ended March 31st. This figure doesn’t include the recently-released PC version of the game, which came out in April.

For comparison, the first Dark Souls shipped 1.5 million copies in its first month. It has now sold 2.4 million copies worldwide, including the Artorias of the Abyss Edition.

Bandai Namco also revealed in their financials that Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z sold 620,000 units, God Eater 2 managed 700,000 in Japan, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle sold 550,000 in Japan, and Disney Magic Castle My Happy Life sold 500,000, again only in Japan.

Overall, Namco Bandai posted revenue of ¥507 billion ($4.9 billion) for the year, a 4.2 percent increase from last year.

We’re pleased to see Dark Souls 2 is selling well. While it’s not quite as impressive as its predecessor, it’s still a highly enjoyable game in its own right. See why in our review of the game here.
