Ubisoft has announced that the artful RPG Child of Light will be coming to the PS Vita on May 2. Both digital and retail versions will be available, with the digital going for £11.99 and the so called retail “Complete Edition” still unpriced. What we do know is that the retail edition will include all additional game contents (including a bonus quest), a new character and a pack of collectibles.
Child of Light attracted a lot of attention earlier this year thanks to a unique art style which Ubisoft says was made possible by the UbiArt Framework engine, the same engine that powered Rayman Origins and the sequel Rayman Legends. We weren’t disappointed when we got our hands on the game, awarding it 9 out of 10 for offering a refreshing change of pace.
A lot of Child of Light’s charm comes from the magical surroundings of the world of Lemuria; a mythical content that was once thought to bridge Africa with Australasia before it sank into the ocean. Those who like delving into their mythology will find that Child of Light isn’t the only good game out there that touches upon the Lemuria myth.
