Victor Vran Goes Hardcore

Prepare for a challenge if you play the game on hardcore

Developer Haemimont Games has just released Hardcore and Casual modes for its Action RPG Victor Vran, giving veteran players and beginner players to fine tune the difficulty to their liking.

In Hardcore mode, players are challenged to play the game without dying. Characters in this mode can only use equipment found by themselves or other Hardcore mode characters. If your character dies, you won’t lose them and will still be able to play as them. However, you will lose your Hardcore status.

If you’re looking for a more laid back experience you can switch your character to the new Casual difficulty, which will let you dominate hordes of monsters more easily. You can switch back and forth between Casual and Normal difficulty any time you want. For more info on the game’s post-release plans, you can check them out on the Steam community forums.

In addition to the new difficulty modes, Haemimont Games has also released the orchestral soundtrack and a 194 page digital artbook which can be purchased via Steam. The soundtrack is also available on iTunes.

The Haemimont Games youtube channel has also released a live recording session of the “Archdemon” track from the soundtrack which you can watch here.

Victor Vran is an action role-playing game in which you play as the titular character and fight off a demon infestation in the fantasy city of Zagoravia. It looks similar to the Van Helsing games, though has a few tricks of its own up its sleeve to liven things up. Check out the release trailer below if you want to see more.
