Daedalic Entertainmet has treated us to a rather lovely new cinematic trailer for upcoming adventure sequel Silence: The Whispered World 2.
No in-game footage is shown in the trailer, with Daedalic opting instead to introduce the game’s setting and premise. In Silence, you’ll once again play as Noah as he ventures back to the world of Silence to save his younger sister Renie, who is seen in the trailer asking viewers for help. A number of new and returning characters are set to feature, chief among them new character Spot. A hungry caterpillar, Spot is able to suck up objects, fly, and split himself up. He also hums if you feed him honey apparently.
Silence: The Whispered World 2 was originally slated for release last year, but Daedalic later delayed the game to 215, before a further delay led to a vague “2016” release being mooted by the publisher.
Still, it looks like the developer has been busy, with a Beta for the game having been conducted just last month. The developer discussed the results of its Beta survey in a new dev diary posted on the game’s official blog over on Tumblr, saying that it went well and revealing some information about how testers had reacted.
Silence: The Whispered World 2 is due sometime in 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. In the meantime, check out the new cinematic trailer below.
