WWE 2K16 Pre-order Bonus Is Arnie’s Terminator

Terminator Genisys still

What’s better than one killer robot in your wrestling game? Two killer robots in your wrestling game.

Pre-order WWE 2K16 from certain retailers and you’lll get exclusive access to two different variants of the Terminator, based on Arnie’s appearance in 1984’s The Terminator and 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

No in-game footage of Arnie in action has been released as yet, though publisher 2K did release a short video alongside the announcement. In the video, which you can see below, Arnie and a number of WWE wrestlers re-enact the iconic scene from Terminator 2 where Arnie tells a biker that he needs “your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle.”

Arnie’s appearance in a wrestling game isn’t as unlikely as you might think. Earlier this year, the bodybuilder-turned-film star-turned-politican-turned-film star-again was inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame, and the film star has a good relationship with WWE star Triple H.

“I’ve achieved many things in my life, but I’ve always said success means staying hungry and pushing the limits,” Arnie said of the announcement. “I was honored to join the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year, and now I’ll continue my WWE legacy with one of my biggest film roles immotalized in WWE 2K16. Match the Terminator against Stone Cold Steve Austin, Seth Rollins or Daniel Bryan, and there’s only one possible outcome: Hasta la vista, baby!”

“Arnold Schwarzenegger is a living legend with universal appeal, a perseverance for greatness and a strong relationship with WWE, including his recent Hall of Fame induction, all of which make him an incredible fit for WWE 2K16,” said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing at 2K. “He’s a force to be reckoned with and defines what it means to raise some hell. Through his WWE 2K16 pre-order inclusion, fans simply can’t beat the opportunity to play as the Terminator in a WWE ring.”

WWE 2K16 is primed for release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in North America on October 27, before being released worldwide three days later on October 30.
