Those amongst you looking to purchase the Halo 5 Guardians Limited or Collector’s Edition have been given a preview of things to come, with a gorgeous Fall of Reach trailer.
The trailer tells the story - this time in an animated format - of the 2001 book of the same name and Bungie’s final Halo game, Halo: Reach.
Fall of Reach served primarily to chronicle the beginnings of the Spartan II Supersoldier project that gave rise to one of the key players in the Human-Covenant War: Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, or just the MAster Chief, as he is more commonly known. Much like Halo: Combat Evolved paved the path for many more games in the series, Fall of Reach did so for the line of Halo-themed novels.
Like they usually do whenever a new Halo game gets closer, stalwart and casual fans’ appetites are reaching critical levels - and this trailer has only served to raise emotions ever-closer to fever pitch.
But don’t expect to get this much-anticipated series for free. You’ll have to pay $100 for the Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition, and a decidedly hefty $250 for the Collector’s Edition. Whether that’s worth the price of admission is up to you, but no doubt a fair share of players will be happy to witness the rise of Master Chief first-hand.
