Crypt of the NecroDancer Coming to PS4 and PS Vita

Roguelike rhythm-action RPG Crypt of the NecroDancer is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Vita, developer Brace Yourself Games has announced.

Crypt of the NecroDancer follows Cadence, the story’s hero, as she dances through dungeons to a cursed beat. You need to move your character in time with the music to attack enemies, while simultaneously keeping to the rhythm to evade their attacks. Fail, and you’re sent back to the beginning of the level to start all over again.

Crypt of the Necrodancer is a seriously entertaining, with excellent music that will definitely translate well to the handheld platform - especially since the PlayStation versions will come with an exclusive chiptune version of the soundtrack. The chiptune soundtrack will be created Jake “Virt” Kaufman, who also composed the soundtrack for Shovel Knight.

Crypt of Necrodancer is a game that looks and sounds like a novelty, but turns out to be anything but,” Dale wrote in his Crypt of the Necrodancer review. “Its unforgettable soundtrack will bore its way into your skull until you find yourself humming its tunes while making your morning coffee; its gameplay has that classic one-more-go appeal; and its simple mechanics hide a deep level of challenge.”
