Square Enix announces new NieR title at E3

Square Enix announces new Neir title at E3

Early on in Square Enix’s E3 showcase they unveiled concept art and a very brief cinematic trailer for an upcoming NieR project for the PS4, whose subtitle is a still to be announced. The project is being spearheaded by Yoko Taro, who worked on the original NieR, and Atsushi Inaba of Platinum Games.

The trailer opens with an explanation that the material shown is to be reflective of the art style, and doesn’t necessarily represent any assets or gameplay, with more to unveil in Fall this year. Inaba mentioned in brief on stage that NieR New Project will not necessarily be purely action-oriented, but still feels a great responsibility for fans of the series and wants to do well by them.

Although there’s little to go on at the moment, expect more information in the latter half of 2015.
