Ubisoft has revealed that it’s now taking the reigns of South Park gaming (Obsidian developed Stick of Truth), as it’s developing South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
Despite no longer being involved, Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart told Eurogamer’s Robert Purchese, via email, that he’s “super excited to see another South Park game getting made and can’t wait to play it”.
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were present for the reveal of Fractured But Whole, so it’s likely that they’ve had a great deal of input (much like in Stick of Truth). The role-playing and turn-based elements from the first game remain present, so here’s hoping for another great release. The story will feature another new kid, as well as the Coon and friends, and probably many many amazingly controversial jokes.
