Xbox One exclusive Halo 5: Guardians had gameplay shown on Microsoft’s Xbox E3 stage. Featuring two distinct teams of Spartans, both the teams of Master Chief and Spartan Locke. The game is likewise said to have drop-in co-op, though it wasn’t shown on-stage.
The story centers around the hunt for apparent traitor Master Chief, who’s gone missing without leave. Spartan Locke and his team are tasked with finding and bringing Chief back.
Included in the Halo 5: Guardians information was a sizzle reel for the upcoming multiplayer mode Warzone. Warzone’s map appears to be sprawling and huge, including story beats and story-based progression built into the multiplayer experience. However, little if any gameplay for it was shown on-stage.
Set to release on October 27th, 2015, Halo 5: Guardians will be available as an Xbox One exclusive.
