CD Projekt RED has revealed what free DLC us Witcher 3 addicts have to look forward to this week - including new Gwent cards and a new quest.
So far we’ve been given new grooming options for Geralt, a Temerian Armor Set, a new skin for Yennefer, a new Witcher contract, another armor set and a crossbow. We’re definitely being spoiled with all this content.
This week sees a new quest being released (in which Geralt helps a village idiot search for gold in a village of pigs) and the Ballad Heroes Gwent deck, which includes “alternative cards capturing characters from Dandelion’s ballads in all their glory”. To be honest, if there was a Gwent anonymous group, then I’d be in it. I’m totally addicted. A new deck can only mean bad things for me ever hoping to leave the house again.
CD Projekt RED is planning to release 16 pieces of free DLC in total. So, with those listed here being 7 and 8 we can expect plenty more. If this isn’t enough for you, there are also two “massive” pieces of dlc content planned for release at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that The Witcher 3 has sold 4m copies after just two weeks. With all this post-launch support, it’s safe to assume that this figure could rise significantly in the coming months.
