Monster Hunter X To Be Next In Franchise

Monster Hunter X has been revealed as the next major title in the popular monster smashing franchise.

Like Monster Hunter 4, Monster Hunter X will be a 3DS exclusive and is set for a winter release in Japan. There’s yet to be any announcement on a Western release, but it’s pretty much a certainty that it will also be released internationally too. However, it could take some time before it does, considering Monster Hunter 4 was released in September 2013 in Japan but didn’t make its way to North America and Europe until February 2015. This could mean that we won’t have the pleasure of playing Monster Hunter X until sometime in 2017 (cue gentle weeping).

Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate has been the best selling entry in the franchise so far, shipping 1m copies to the West after just 2 months.

Nic gave it a healthy 9/10 in our Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate review, so we’re expecting big things from Monster Hunter X.

Take a gander at the debut trailer for Monster Hunter X below.
