Logic Artists has confirmed the second installment to their historical Expedition series, with their newest title Expeditions: Vikings.

Set in 700 A.D., Expeditions: Vikings is a strategy RPG where players take leadership over a Viking clan. Set with the end goal in elevating your clan status, players must embark on raids and adventures across different lands, and experience choices that will apparently pay consequences. As well as that, players must also defend against invaders from both foreign and domestic lands.

Coming from a Danish game company, Creative Director for Logic Artists Jonas Wæver is very excited to be returning to the roots of the RPG genre, and to be working on game set so close to his Nordic region. “We’re improving on the Conquistador formula with deeper and more dynamic systems for character progression, combat abilities, role-playing, choice and consequence, and expanding on our favorite part of Conquistador: camping and wilderness survival”, he stated in the press release.

Earlier this month, the Danish developers made fans on their Facebook page guess the theme for their newest game. Shortly after the announcement, beta keys were apparently rewarded to those who were able to guess correctly. More news surrounding Expeditions: Vikings is expected later this year, with their more recent title, Expeditions: Conquistador, currently available on steam for $19.99.
