Space Hulk: Ascension - Dark Angels Expansion Out Now on Steam

A new expansion for Space Hulk: Ascension is available now for PC gamers on Windows, Mac and Linux, developer Full Control has announced.

The Bringer of Sorrow expansion bolsters the game with 20 new story missions and 20 flash missions. Full Control reckons it’ll take you around 25 hours to play through the lot. The expansion also unlocks the new Deathwing of the Dark Angels Chapter, if you’re down with your Warhammer 40k lore, as well as the Apothecary class, who specializes in buffing enemies and wields a new weapon - the Plasma Cannon. Plasma Cannons shout out huge fiery balls of plasma which cause “insane” splash damage wherever they land. The Apothecary is designed as a complement to players’ command slot, bolstering the resolve of nearby Terminators and supporting a more defensive play style.

In Bringer of Sorrow, your Space Marines are urged into battle by a Tyranid invasion on the planet Corinthe, thanks to a new Space Hulk that’s emerged from the Warp. Expect plenty of Genestealers, all eager to have a munch on your face

“I hope players are excited for the strategic options this expansion will afford them”, said Thomas Hentschel Lund, CEO of Full Control. “The Apothecary will give your team some incredible buffs, while the Plasma Cannon is one of the most destructive weapons the Genestealers will have the displeasure of facing!”

The new expansion costs $7.99/£5.99 over on Steam, but if you it up in the first week you get a 10% discount. You’ll need the base game to play though, so make sure you have that before you grab it.
