Following some mysterious symbols showing up in a surprise Black Ops 2 update, the official Call of Duty YouTube channel uploaded a trailer named “Back in Black.”
The teaser trailer doesn’t have much meat to it, simply a string of binary patterns that seem to form a body holding a pistol, and a body holding two, echoing the first two Black Ops covers. Various strings of recorded dialog play in the background throughout. This culminates in the formation of a roman numeral III, and the phrase “World Reveal 4.26.15”
Going on a tweet from Treyarch, and the above teaser-trailer, it seems the only part left of the Black Ops III announcement is just announcing.
It feels good to be back. It feels even better to be #BackInBlack. Let’s do this.

Opinion: It is about the right time for a new Call of Duty announcement, so it’s no surprise that some teases are starting to make their way out of the woodwork. Really, it’s one of those games that doesn’t really much extrapolating. If you’re a fan of Call of Duty already, you’re excited for a new sequel. If you aren’t, this game probably isn’t going to whet your appetite for it any more than the previous did.
