Mortal Kombat X Launch Trailer Brings The Pain

NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive have revealed the official launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X.

The trailer, which you can view below, features clips from the game’s story campaign, interspersed with snippets of gameplay footage - including a glimpse of four-armed half-man, half-dragon bute Goro. The footage is accompanied by music 90s metal band System of a Down’s Chop Suey, which works far better than you might think.

The last few months have seen the developer making a series of reveals about the latest installment in the popular fighting game series, but with just a week to go it’s likely that we’re all out of surprises. We’ll have our review of Mortal Kombat X shortly after the game goes on sale April 14th for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, once we’ve had some time with game’s online multiplayer.
