Although games like Destiny and Grand Theft Auto V attract our attention due to their impressive graphics or compelling storylines, often games become popular simply due to their weirdness and boycotting of the typical format of a game.
I am Bread is looking to become one of those games that appeals to the sillier side of human nature. Developed by Bossa Studios, the creators of Surgeon Simulator 2013 - another game renowned for its bizarre gameplay and humorous longevity - the game follows an anthropomorphized slice of bread as it makes its way around a kitchen, wreaking havoc and making a mess. Utilising frustrating controls which are similar to the studios’ first title and games like Mount Your Friends, the game allows you do all the things you’ve ever wanted to experience in the place of a single slice of bread.
Delve into the depths of your imagination. Ever wondered what it would be like experiencing the toaster as a piece of bread? Want to see if a slice of bread can play Jenga? Is an iron as effective as a toaster?
All these questions can be answered on December 3rd, when I am Bread is released on Steam Early Access.
