Goat Simulator now on mobile

Mobile users may have noticed a peculiar game pop up in their various App stores today. Goat Simulator, the game by Coffee Stain Studios, who call the game “small, broken and stupid” themselves, is now on the App Store and Google Play for $4.99/ £2.99.

“MOVE AWAY CLONES, THE REAL DEAL IS HERE,” Coffee Stain said in a press release issued today. “And you guys thought we’d never get it to run on mobile!!” - I agree that this is an amazing feat but giving that you can play Bioshock on your phone nowadays it’s not really that unbelievable.

The developer goes on to say that that, “You should probably spend your money on something else.” (They have used this nonchalant form of advertising since the very start - just check out the website here). They recommend buying something more useful such as a pile of bricks or even a hula hoop.

If you had to ask me what Goat Simulator was all about I’d tell you to shoot on over to our review where Dale explained that it could “quite possibly be the most ridiculous game ever invented.”

However, if you were to ask Coffee Stain Studios what their game is all about, they would say the following:

Goat Simulator is a drug that is created by the 0’s and 1’s inside computers, and then radiated from a computer screen right into YOUR EYES, forcing your brain to have fun. Coffee Stain Studios have now ported this technology to iOS and Android, giving you the ability to inject your brain with fun wherever you go. In terms of actual gameplay, Goat Simulator doesn’t have much of a real objective beyond causing as much mayhem and destruction as possible while playing as a goat. The game has been likened to classic skateboarding franchise Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but ‘instead of being a skater you’re a goat. And instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff.'”

A crazy explanation, but there’s no denying how hilariously entertaining Goat Simulator actually is - perhaps there is method to their madness.
