The Prince of the Shokans is available as a character for Mortal Kombat X, but only through pre-orders. The game is to be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on April 14, 2015.

Goro, the four-armed behemoth who was defeated by Liu Kang in the first Mortal Kombat, is a retail pre-order exclusive for Mortal Kombat X.

Whether Goro will become a DLC character in the future remains to be seen.

NetherRealm Studios boasts Mortal Kombat X as a multiplayer heavy game, pushing players into what they call “a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.”

Notable of Mortal Kombat X is that players can choose multiple play styles of their characters, allowing different strategies and fighting styles. Though the element of fighting style has existed ever since Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, X‘s direction will likely be more polished.
