The official Minecraft convention, slyly named Minecon, has been renewed for another year - except it won’t happen in 2014. Vu Bui, Mojang’s COO, confirmed in a blog post today that Minecon is going to take place in London next year in Spring.

He stated that the intentions behind pushing it back another year were to “give it the attention it needs” and that springtime of 2015 would work best for Mojang. Several specific locations have been rumored to hold the event in the UK’s capital such as Earl’s Court, currently set to play home to Eurogamer’s EGX convention next month.
More information is to come over the next few months, so keep an eye out for Vu Bui’s Twitter.
