Bandai Namco has confirmed that the second part of the Dark Souls 2: The Lost Crowns trilogy of DLC, Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Old Iron King, is to be released on August 26 for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
The first part of the DLC pack, Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Sunken King was released on July 22nd to critical acclaim. Both pieces of DLC are available as part of the PlayStation 3 season pass for $19.99/£19.99 or for $9.99/£9.99 on Xbox 360.
Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Old King has been described as being “set in a massive tower engulfed by black mist where flames, smoke and sorcery lurk.” The aim of the extra content is to “retrieve the Crown of the Old Iron King, navigate paths that are not what they appear to be.” Players who have had an early look at the content have said that the second part of the trilogy is more difficult than the first part, with new enemies like skeleton warriors dual-wielding heavy axes and floating beings brandishing a flaming long-sword and a long-bow to test your mettle against.
