Competition: Create a character and win a copy of WildStar Online!

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Listen up, cupcakes!

Thanks to the lovely people over at Carbine Studios and NCSOFT, we have some great prizes on offer for fans of their excellent MMO, WildStar Online!

Up for grabs are 2 Digital Deluxe copies of the game, game time, merchandise and some 7 day Guest Passes for the runners up. Unfortunately though, these prizes are redeemable only for people in North America - so even if you don’t mind playing on North American servers, if you’re located in the EU or rest of world, you won’t be able to redeem the code. Sorry!

Anyway, here’s the prize list:

1st Prize - WildStar Online Digital Deluxe Edition + 6 months of free game time + Rowsdower Plushie

2nd Prize - WildStar Online Digital Deluxe Edition + WildStar Hat

3rd Prize - WildStar Online Digital Standard Edition

In case you were wondering, all copies come with 30 days of game time included. Further game time can be paid for via subscription at the cost of $14.99 for 30 days of game time. The Digital Deluxe Edition of the game comes with exclusive in-game items: an Eldan Hoverboard, Eldan housing item, an exclusive in-game costume, a dye to customize your outfit, and an exclusive in-game title.

Of course, such great prizes requires a great competition to go with them, so in order to qualify we’re asking you to design and draw (or paint, whatever) an original character that would look right at home in the world of Nexus. Characters can belong to any of the in-game races you want, and should also include a brief paragraph explaining their personality and backstory.

Once you’re done, email your creation over to us as a high-resolution image file and please include your name and address (in case you win one of the merchandise items). Be sure to send your submissions via an email you use regularly to [email protected], and make sure to put “Here’s my drawing, cupcakes!” in the subject line.

The competition is open from now until 5pm EST, August 6, 2014. Winners will be chosen by us based on quality, imagination and originality, and will be featured in a separate article highlighting your work after the competition has closed and the winners have been determined. If you’re one of the lucky winners, you’ll be contacted by email.

WildStar Online launched last month and has already been picking up plenty of acclaim from players and critics alike. Here at Continue Play, we awarded it a healthy 9/10, saying that “WildStar is worth the time of anyone with even the slightest interest in the genre. Entrants must be 16 or over and cannot be, or be related or otherwise connected to, staff from Continue Play, Carbine Studios or NCSOFT

Copies of the game are region-locked to North America. Winners will only be able to play on North American servers and the codes are not redeemable for players in other territories.

Any entries deemed to be offensive on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexuality or depicting degrading treatment towards humans or animals will be immediately disqualified.

Prizes are awarded as is, are non-negotiable, and are not exchangeable for cash.

By entering the competition, you agree to your work being displayed in a follow-up article alongside the announcement of the winners.

      HI Anders! We feel your pain 🙂 We did try to see if we could get EU codes as well, but unfortunately Carbine only had NA codes available. Hopefully we’ll be able to run something in the future that you can enter though.

    Quick question, can we add things that aren’t currently implemented in the game? For example, accessories or certain facial features that you can’t make with the regular character creator? Or does it have to be based on a character that you can actually create?

    • You certainly can! As long as the character fits into the Wildstar universe, feel free to go wild with your ideas 🙂
