Advanced Warfare changes everything.
Today Activision revealed details for three (count ’em, three) collector’s editions of the forthcoming and highly anticipated Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. They are: the Atlas Pro Edition, the Atlas Limited Edition, and the Atlas Digital Pro Edition. The first two are currently available for pre-order while supplies last (and we don’t anticipate supplies lasting very long), while the Digital Pro Edition will be available for pre-order at a later date. We’ll keep you posted on those details as they emerge.
What, though, is the different between these editions? Well, the names are all inspired by the Atlas Corporation, the leading Private Military Corporation (PMC) in 2054 and led by Kevin Spac- erm, Jonathan Irons, but here’s the detailed breakdown for what you actually get:
Atlas Limited Edition (SRP £69.99/$79.99)
- Bonus multiplayer map: Atlas Gorge
- Collectible Steelbook: Limited edition steel case that features premium, in-game artwork
- Welcome to Atlas: Advanced Soldier Manual: The Atlas Corporation’s Advanced Soldier Manual ensures that all recruits are equipped with the necessary intel to become a tier-one Advanced Soldier with Atlas. It also comes with original concept artwork, as well as historical and tactical information to ensure you successfully carry out Atlas’ global mission
- Atlas Digital Content Pack, which includes: an Atlas exoskeleton, Atlas-themed weaponry, and more!
Atlas Pro Edition (SRP £89.99/$119.99)
- Everything available in the Atlas Limited Edition, plus:
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Season Pass, which includes four DLC Map Packs, each with their own exclusive content (what that is we don’t know, but we’ll let you know).
Atlas Digital Pro Edition (SRP £89.99/$119.99)
- Everything available in the Atlas Pro Edition in a nice, neat digital package
- Atlas Digital Edition Personalization Pack (details forthcoming)
We also got a bit more detail on what we can expect in the Atlas Digital Content Pack:
- Bal-27 AE Assault Riffle
- Atlas 45 AE Pistol
- Atlas Exoskeleton: PMC-issue red, white, and black custom exoskeleton
- Atlas Helmet: State-of-the-art
- Atlas Player Card: Get captured on killcams with custom Atlas calling card and emblem
- 5 Bonus Supply Drops: A brand new, revolutionary multiplayer mission, these bonus supply drop missions will unlock additional exclusive content including player customization and gear. More information on supply drops and multiplayer battles will be available August 11
- Single Player Exoskeleton Upgrade Token: During the single player campaign, players unlock perks and abilities to their exoskeleton (see also: level up), and this token will provide one extra upgrade for you to get the jump on your enemies
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Soundtrack: Digital copy of the in-game score, featuring the main title and themes by composer Harry Gregson-Williams
We’ve certainly got a lot to choose from, though one’s preference for a physical versus digital copy will obviously sway votes. The current prices are suggested, though with the sheer volume of what we’re being given, we sort’ve expect to be handing over the plastic. Interestingly, this year’s collector’s edition is fairly conservative, compared to previous years, which has seen the game bundled with everything from night vision googles to waterproof wrist-mounted cameras and event remote control buggies bundled in.
But we’re okay with that.
