Shadow Warrior: PS4, Xbox One release date announced

Shadow Warrior Feature

Developer Flying Wild Hogs’ remake of 3D Realms classic FPS is to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One September 26, publisher Bandai Namco (in conjuction with Devolver Digital) has announced.

In Shadow Warrior, players take the role of sword-wielding assassin Lo Wang through a lengthy single-player-only campaign of blood-soaked death and destruction.

The remake was originally released on PC back in September of last year, but the console version isn’t a straight-up port. There are a number of console-exclusive additions to the latest release: two new weapons have been added to the game, a new arena mode wil have you facingo off against increasingly difficult waves of enemies, and additional campaign levels will all feature. It’s currently not known how substantive the additional campaign content will be, or whether “exclusive” really means exclusive, or if the new content will come to the PC version at a later date.

To go with the release date announcement, Bandai Namco has released a number of new screenshots, taken from the console versions, which you can see below.
