Super Smash Flash is kind of more enjoyable than regular Smash Bros

Ever wonder what Super Smash Bros would be like if licensing wasn’t an issue, and if you could play in 2-D pixelated glory?

Well, that’s not something you will have to think about anymore, as McLeod Gaming has released the latest iteration of Super Smash Flash, a browser-based Super Smash Bros experience that substitutes some of the more superfluous characters for the likes of Ichigo from Bleach, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Bomberman from the Bomberman franchise and a few others.

The game comes complete with an array of new stages, and with the infinite possibility for unlimited new characters - well, it just makes it somewhat more exciting than news for the new Super Smash Bros.

You can take a look at the ‘McLeod Direct’ (a riff off the Nintendo Direct livecasts) below, which details the coming update for the game.

In the meanwhile, you can play Super Smash Flash in browser or download it off the game’s official site.

Daniel doesn't just play and write about games, but he also writes his own comics. He can usually be found arguing with Dale about who the best member of the X-Men is (it's Jamie Madrox, obviously)
