Battlefield 4‘s latest add-on is available as of today for players subscribing to the Premium service. In fact, for the first two weeks it will only be available to Premium players. Non-premium players will have to wait until July 29 to get their hands on it for $14.99.
Dragon’s Teeth contains 4 new maps, a new game mode: Chain Link, 5 new weapons, a new pickup, and a gadget.
To coincide with the launch, publisher EA has a released a trailer, showing off some interesting stage specifics such as being able to ride atop tractors. In addition, the “levolution” (mid-match occurances that greatly upset the lay of the map and alter pacing) mechanic is shown off: a water tower bursts apart, rolling downhill and smashing everything in its path.
Julian Meush reviewed Battlefield 4 for us last month and found that while the game is a solid shooter - and much improved from the state of its original release - it still has plenty of issues in multiplayer and a disappointing single-player campaign. He gave it 8/10, saying “beneath all of the issues is an expertly crafted first-person shooter experience, with some interesting new ideas and superb map design.”
