Ubisoft celebrates Bastille Day with new Assassin’s Creed: Unity Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Unity, showing off more of the title’s gameplay and its painstaking recreation of French-Revolution-era Paris.

The trailer, which you can see below, shows off the sheer detail of the world. It’s plain to see that the game has benefited immensely from leaving behind the previous console generation. Crowds are massive and highly detailed, gameplay transitions seamlessly from interiors to exteriors, and the draw distance and level of detail on offer is impressive.

Alongside the trailer, Ubisoft has also released a second video giving some background on Unity’s historical setting.

The follow-up to last year’s excellent Assassin’s Creed IV, Unity is due to be released October 28, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Rumors continue to circulate of a separate game being released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 - said to codenamed Comet - though Ubisoft has yet to confirm or deny them.
