Mortal Kombat X: Raiden Revealed

Over the weekend, NetherRealm Studios officially revealed that Raiden will be joining the playable roster in the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. The announcement came following the end of EVO’s Injustice: Gods Among Us Tournament.

Raiden’s appearance in the game shouldn’t come as much of a surprise - alongside series stalwarts such as Scorpion and Sub-Zero, he’s featured in every mainline Mortal Kombat title since the very first back in 1992.

The announcement was made alongside a new gameplay trailer showing off the God of Thunder’s moveset. Gore is most certainly back on the table, with what is possibly one of the most brutal fatalities the series has ever seen. Check it out in the video below (courtesy of IGN).

Mortal Kombat is due sometime next year and is set for release on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
