Blizzard Gives Details on Curse of Naxxramas Expansion

After an extended delay, Blizzard has formally announced the payment structure for their Hearthstone expansion, Curse of Naxxramas.

In terms of the way is is structured, Naxxramas , is divided up into 5 wings. A month long celebration event will allow all players free access to the first wing, the Arachnid Quarter. The four other wings need to be unlocked for either 700 gold or $6.99 per wing. The expansion is primarily a single player adventure, although a total of 30 cards will launch with the event.

The expansion will have 1 wing launch per week and can be bought all at once for $24.99 for the extremely impatient. That being said, you will still have to wait for all of the wings to unlock.

After defeating the various bosses of Naxxramas, players will unlock Heroic mode, which will significantly up the level of difficulty. Hardened Hearthstone players will find their skills challenged like never before in this new mode, and upon completion, will receive a new card back plus all requisite glory.

Curse of Naxxramas will release sometime in July. For now, keep playing Hearthstone and fight off your addiction.
