Kinect 2 coming to PC on July 15

Microsoft’s cyberpunk supercam Kinect 2 is slated for July 15, according to a pre-order listing on the Microsoft Store.

It will not feature the Xbox logo. Instead, it is adorned with ‘Kinect’ on the top and a light on the front, replacing where both Xbox brandings would be.

Retailing at $199 USD, the PC’s Kinect 2 is not meant for games, but for applications. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Kinect 2 does not ship with any software, and instead has a separate Software Development Kit for developers.

This device will not work with the Kinect-less Xbox One.
