Ubisoft has announced that Child of Light is now available to download on the PlayStation Vita, and it can be purchased digitally for $15/£11.99. A Complete Edition is also available digitally and in retail. Included will be a bonus quest, new character, and collectibles.
In Child of Light, you play as Aurora, a girl from 1895 Austria who contracts a physical ailment that causes her to fall asleep. Travel across the mysterious kingdom of Lemuria and help Aurora on her quest to return home. Helped by Igniculus the firefly, Finn the Capilli and many more, Aurora must defeat the Queen of the Night who has stolen the sun, the moon, and the stars.
Child of Light was developed by a small team at Ubisoft Montreal using the UbiArt Framework, the engine that also powered Rayman Legends and Origins. Patrick Plourde, who also worked on Far Cry 3, has said before that the game was inspired by RPG classic, Final Fantasy VI.
Child of Light is also available digitally on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U. We enjoyed the game quite a bit, you can see why in our review here.
