Sonic Boom Gets Two New Trailers

Sonic Boom, the spin-off Sonic franchise that has completely revamped the cast (as seen above) has gotten a pair of new trailers, for the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for the 3DS allows you to play as newcomer Sticks, who is a jungle badger that forms a close bond with Amy Rose, who is kidnapped by new villain Lyric. The game is primarily in classic Sonic 2D and will be released in November from developer Sanzaru Games.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is the Wii U version of the game and features a more story-driven and cinematic trailer. The game has a greater emphasis on 3D gameplay and combat, and has Sonic and Co. more directly confront Lyric, who is a giant robot Lizard that resembles a hybrid of King K. Rool and General Grievous. This version will also release in November and is being developed by Big Red Button Entertainment.

Take a look at the two trailers below and be sure to take note of the comparison between the two Sonic Boom games.

Daniel doesn't just play and write about games, but he also writes his own comics. He can usually be found arguing with Dale about who the best member of the X-Men is (it's Jamie Madrox, obviously)
