Industry veteran, Cliff Bleszinski, announced today that he will be officially coming out of retirement next week.
Best known for his 20 year stint at Epic, where he was integral to such titles as Gears of War and Unreal Tournament, Cliffy B, as he is commonly known in the games industry, is ready to make e more video games according to a message for his followers on Twitter:
While no more details are currently available, he has previously spoken about creating an IP called Silverstreak and forming his own studio, although that was back in 2012. Additionally, Bleszinski was a early investor in Oculus Rift before it was acquired by Facebook, so it’s possible that his new video game concept has something to do with VR. Then again, Bleszinski could just be going back to basics and doing another arena shooter that isn’t Unreal Tournament.
We will update you when more information is released.
