In 2012, Herschel Layton and Phoenix Wright met in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the 3DS. This crossover involved the intrepid two mystery solvers teaming up in London to defend a woman being accused of being a witch, and shared gameplay elements from both series. Because only the top hat sporting puzzle master’s series has done particularly well in the United States, there were hesitations about bringing it here - until now.

Rest easy Layton/Wright fans, fan interest has prompted Nintendo to publish this one in the United States. And unlike Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, it’s getting a physical release as well. Americans will finally be able to get their hands on this one August 29th.
