Bungie’s upcoming online FPS Destiny will now run at 1080p, 30 frames per second.
The news comes via an interview by Geoff Keighley with the developer at E3. Bungie confirmed that Microsoft’s decision to allow developers to make use of system performance previously reserved for Kinect - following the announcement that the consumers will soon be able to purchase the system without it - will allow them to achieve the same resolution and framerate as the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Keighley then posted the confirmation on twitter.
After @xboxp3 interview I've been asking devs about impact of new Xbox sdk on perf. Bungie says it will get Destiny to 1080p/30fps on XB1.

While undoubtedly good news for both Microsoft and players, it remains to be seen whether true platform parity will be achieved. We’ll get a clearer idea of how the finished game is likely to perform across both consoles once the multiplayer beta launches later this year.
