E3 2014: Bloodborne Announced For PlayStation 4

Bloodborne_Featured

Sony has announced that Bloodborne will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The game will be developed by From Software, the developers behind the Souls franchise.

In May, screenshots and a video emerged online for a mysterious title referred to as Project Beast. They showed a man holding a shotgun and the game design showed in the video seemed to be very similar to the iconic Souls’ franchise style, leading many to believe it was a sequel to PS3 sleeper hit, Demons’ Souls. Bloodborne, however, appears to be positioned as a brand new IP, despite bearing many gameplay similarities. Perhaps the success of Dark Souls has made Sony fearful of causing confusion by adopting a similar name.

Also revealed at the press conference was a trailer for the game. No gameplay was shown, but a release date of 2015 was revealed at the end of the video. You can check it out for yourself down below.

We’ll update you when more information is revealed.
