ORIGINAL ARTICLE: In 30 minutes, The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt will be hosting a live conference stream full of info about the titular white-haired Geralt of Rivia’s latest upcoming adventure, and you can watch it live right here on Continue Play!
Commencing at 11am PDT/ 2pm EST/ 8pm CET, the stream promises to showcase a new trailer for the game, packed full of gameplay footage - so if you’re looking forward to the trilogy’s final installment, it’s something you won’t want to miss.
In addition, CD Projekt had promised a “big announcement” relating to their online digital download service, GOG.com. What could it be?
While previous games in the series have restricted your progress to specific areas, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt presents a vast open world to be explored, said to be significantly larger than Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is no small feat. In addition, every single quest will be hand-written - no random generation here. For the first time you’ll be able to traverse the ocean and explore distant lands via a sailing vessel, and the combat and alchemy systems have been significantly overhauled.
The game is due to be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime early next year, after being pushed back from its original projected release window of Q4 2014.
You can watch the live stream once it starts.
